Bob Simpson is the Texas Career Practice Leader and a Partner based in Houston, Texas. In this role, he oversees Talent, Rewards, Transformation, Change Management, and Communication initiatives within the Texas market. His expertise in change management, digital transformation, and employee communications enables clients to implement engaging, flexible, and measurable solutions for their employees.

Before joining Mercer, Bob served as Sr. Director of the Benefits Solutions Group for EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, where he was the National Practice Leader for Communication & Engagement and Wellness & Health Management. His efforts transformed the delivery of communication and wellness solutions, focusing on strategic effectiveness for clients. Previously, he was a Director of Communication & Change Management at Willis Towers Watson, leading projects on employee value propositions, total rewards communication, and HR technology implementations. Bob also worked as an organizational design and transformation project manager at Warner Bros., assisting in the design and change management of shared services and technology implementations.

Bob aims to simplify complex issues for clients and their employees, whether through change messaging, new technologies, or addressing the question, “What’s in it for me?” He has spoken on topics such as information retention, crisis communication, and employee burnout. Additionally, Bob is a professional voiceover performer.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in Communication Management from The University of Southern California.
