Kim Wicker
Managing Director Global Compensation, Mobility, and People Support
American Airlines

Kim Wicker is the Managing Director of Global Compensation, Mobility, and People Support at American Airlines, where she leads the design and execution of the company's executive, variable, and broad-based compensation programs. She also oversees global mobility and relocation services, as well as the People Business Partner team that support the people division.

A strategic and analytical HR leader, Kim has spent more than fourteen years shaping American's compensation philosophy, governance standards, and team member experience. Her leadership has been central in modernizing the airline's pay programs-bringing forward data-driven, equitable, and competitive practices that enable American to attract, reward, and retain top talent across all levels. 

Kim played a key role in advancing American's pay equity strategy, drawing upon her background in demographics and compensation analytics to help the company earn certification as a Fair Pay workplace in 2021. Her work reinforced the company's commitment to fair and equitable pay for all team members. In addition, she has guided the organization through signifcant regulatory changes and governance complexities, while driving strategic alignment with corporate goals. 

Kim's career with American began in Key West, Florida, where she worked on the front lines as a Station Agent with American Eagle. She later joined the People Analytics organization in 2012, before she shifted to all things compensation. 

She currently serves on the American Airlines Employee Benefits Committee, the Goldman Sachs Ayco Advisory Board, and the WorldatWork Advisory Council, and previously served on the Syndio Advisory Board. 

Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Social Sciences and a Master of Science in Demography from Florida State University. She is an Alpha Chi Omega and a proud U.S. Navy wife and daughter, residing in Southlake, Texas with her husband and two children.
