Dr. Stacey Petrey is a Partner at Blue Matter Consulting and leads the firm’s People and Organization Practice, advising life sciences and biopharma clients on organizational transformation, M&A integration, talent strategy, and workforce design.
She brings more than 25 years of experience - and a track record spanning more than 75 completed transactions. Her deal credentials include two multibillion-dollar corporate inversions (the $8.6B Elan/Perrigo and $5.3B Mylan/Abbott EPD transactions), with deep expertise across due diligence, integration planning, operating model design, and complex global change management.
Prior to Blue Matter, Stacey was a Partner in PwC’s Deals practice, where she focused on integrations, separations, and value creation across the pharmaceutical, life sciences, and medical device sectors. Earlier in her career, she served as VP and Global Head of Corporate Strategic Programs at Bausch Health, led global alliance management across more than 130 strategic partnerships spanning pre-commercial and commercial assets, and served as Global Head of Total Rewards for multiple multinational organizations - advising boards and compensation committees for nearly two decades. She has also held leadership roles across business, finance, and HR at Viatris, Perrigo, Fidelity Investments, PerkinElmer, and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Stacey is a published thought leader on AI’s impact on biopharma organizational design and workforce architecture, and a board member with deep governance experience across compensation and strategic planning.
She holds an doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania, a masters from Cornell University, and a bachelors from Penn State University.
