Milan Jovanovic is a seasoned compensation executive with over a decade of leadership experience in complex, mission-driven healthcare systems. Currently serving as Senior Director of Compensation & Executive Services at Sutter Health, one of California’s largest nonprofit integrated health systems, Milan leads enterprise-wide compensation strategy, including executive pay, job architecture, and compensation governance for over 60,000 employees.

Milan is recognized for his ability to translate business strategy into scalable, equitable, and financially responsible compensation frameworks. His work blends deep technical expertise with a pragmatic, human-centered approach to organizational design, incentive structures, and workforce engagement. He has spearheaded major initiatives including executive compensation governance modernization, short-term incentive consolidation, geographic pay differential implementation, and cross-functional workforce planning—all while aligning with labor, legal, and board-level expectations.
