Marisol Larez is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) and a key member of the department's senior executive management team. With an unwavering focus on strategic management and public service, Larez guides critical administrative functions that underpin the agency's success and support its ten distinct divisions, including the nearly 700 members of Team DORA; areas of oversight include Human Resources, Operations, Budget, and Accounting & Purchasing. In her capacity as CAO, Larez has served as DORA’s interim executive director, at the request of the Governor. Before assuming her current role, Larez distinguished herself as DORA’s Director of Human Resources, where she led transformative efforts to enhance the agency’s HR landscape, including critical areas such as hiring, leadership development, and employee engagement. Larez’s journey in public service began in 2006 at the Colorado Department of Personnel & Administration, where she honed her expertise as an HR Consultant, providing guidance to state agencies on the State of Colorado's selection processes and procedures, personnel rules interpretation, human resource audits, performance management, and statewide model practices
