Dr. Yolanda S. Draine, a gifted educator and an accomplished executive, is an Adjunct Professor for Columbia Southern University and Belhaven University. She is also the Total Rewards Officer for the City of Memphis HR Division. She was previously Program Director of the Healthcare Management and Business Administration Programs at South University (Austin, TX) and Senior Vice President of Human Resources at First South Financial Credit Union (Memphis, TN).
Dr. Draine has over 25 years of human resources experience and over 15 years of experience as a professor. She has taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses in human resources, healthcare, leadership, and business. She has been interviewed by and quoted in Credit Union Management, Credit Union Magazine, and Credit Union National Association’s White Paper. She has presented her dissertation research, the Development of a Model of Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Planning Utilizing Critical Success Factors from the United States and European Union at national and international conferences.
Dr. Draine has served on boards, roundtables, and advisory committees including the Society for Human Resource Management Memphis Chapter Board, the Society for Human Resource Management Memphis Executive Roundtable, the Memphis Institute for Leadership Education Mentoring Program, and the International Scientific Advisory Committee and Session Organizer for the 3rd International Conference on Disaster Management and Human Health.
She has also received honors and recognition including the 2013 Women of Excellence Honoree by the Tri-State Defender, recognition in 2010, 2009, and 2007 Who’s Who in Corporate Memphis by Grace Magazine, and recognition in the 2006 edition of People on the Move by the Memphis Business Journal. Most recently, she was recognized for "Management Excellence" by the City of Memphis Ovation Program and in 2017 recognized for "Outstanding Service and Dedication" in Human Resources by the Shelby County Government Mayor's Administration.
