Maya Wilson PhD is a proven data science and AI leader with a track record of building innovative software for businesses. Maya started her career in academia, receiving a PhD in Political Science from Emory University, where her research focused on the ways that international organizations influence national policies through advocacy groups. Since then, she’s been at the forefront of helping businesses at various stages develop responsible, cutting-edge AI applications for software. Before Syndio, Maya led content generation and recommendation efforts at Mailchimp, where she launched the company’s responsible AI program. Following Mailchimp’s acquisition by Intuit, she returned to her startup roots to build the AI and Machine Learning program at Syndio, the industry pioneer in global pay transparency solutions. In her role at Syndio, she leads a team of data scientists and engineers to deliver internal tools, data science R&D and customer-facing data and AI product features.
