Assad Mallick, CCP, GRP, CHRL, BComm is a seasoned Total Rewards and HR executive with more than 20 years of experience leading compensation, benefits, wellness, pension, HR operations, and HR technology initiatives across large Canadian and global organizations. He currently serves as Vice President, and Head of Total Rewards, HR Systems and People Analytics at Interac, where he leads enterprise-wide Total Rewards and People Analytics strategy for the Enterprise.

Throughout his career, Assad has held progressively senior leadership roles spanning financial services, telecommunications, retail, and health and wellbeing organizations, including prior leadership positions at Sun Life, TELUS Health, LifeWorks, Aviva Insurance, and Cineplex Entertainment. His expertise includes broad-based compensation, executive compensation, sales compensation, workforce analytics, HR technology, and organizational transformation and HR Operations.

Known for combining strategic perspective with practical implementation experience and his mantra of “purpose and impact”, Assad is particularly passionate about the use of data, analytics, and emerging technologies to evolve the future of Total Rewards and HR. In addition to his corporate leadership roles, he previously served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the HRPA (Human Resources Professionals Association), as well as a Chair of the Board at Winning Inclusive Solutions, and has been on the Board of Directors at Oak Valley Health since 2019 and is an active speaker and thought leader within the Canadian HR and Total Rewards community.
