You have the market data. You have done the analysis. Your recommendation is sound. And leadership still isn't ready to move.

For compensation professionals, getting to the right answer is often only half the challenge. The other half is building enough understanding, trust, and alignment for leaders to act on it. Whether the conversation involves market adjustments, pay structures, job architecture, pay equity, incentive design, or another significant investment, even strong recommendations can stall when leaders question the data, disagree on the level of risk, or struggle with the financial implications.

This facilitated roundtable will explore what actually gets in the way of leader buy in and how compensation professionals can navigate those conversations more effectively. Participants will share experiences, compare approaches, and discuss how they build credibility, respond to resistance, and connect compensation recommendations to the business priorities leaders care about.

Rather than focusing on one right approach, the conversation will surface practical strategies participants can use the next time a well supported compensation recommendation meets resistance.
