George Verghese is a seasoned business leader with over two decades of experience across human resources, business strategy, marketing, and organizational transformation. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Kirloskar Industries 
Limited (KIL), part of the diversified Kirloskar Group of Companies, where he plays a strategic role in shaping business outcomes and organizational growth.The Kirloskar Group is one of India’s most respected industrial conglomerates, 
comprising both listed and privately held companies across sectors such as engineering, energy, finance, real estate, and education. Among its listed entities are Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, which manufactures and sells multi-fuel power generating sets and engines for industrial OEMs; Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited, specializing in pig iron and castings;Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited, offering compressor and air solutions; and Kirloskar Industries Limited, which focuses on wind power generation, real estate development, and strategic investments. The group also includes private companies such as Arka Fincap (a non-banking financial company), Avante Lifespaces (real estate), Kirloskar Solar(solar energy), and the Kirloskar Institute of Management, which operates two management institutes. George joined the Kirloskar Group in April 2021 as Vice President – Group HR, and went on to serve as the Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). He also held the role of CHRO and Chief of Staff at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL), where he was  instrumental in leading a strategic business turnaround. His responsibilities spanned across group-wide HR transformation, leadership development, digital HR implementation, organizational culture, branding, and marketing communications. As 
Chief of Staff, he worked closely with the KOEL leadership team on business strategy and execution. Prior to joining the Kirloskar Group, George built his career in leading Indian and multinational organizations including Dell International Services, Cummins, Reliance Communications, and UST Global, holding leadership roles across HR, business operations, and strategic planning. He holds a Master’s degree in Management from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the College of Engineering, Munnar. Outside of work, George is an avid reader with interests in leadership, psychology,  business, and fiction. He is also a passionate tennis player, often found on the court during his downtime
