Emily Douglas-McNab is a nationally recognized human resources, Total Rewards, and artificial intelligence practitioner with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations design and improve compensation, benefits, employee experience, workforce strategy, and human capital systems. She is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Experience Management Institute (EXMI), a consulting firm that partners with public entities, educational organizations, government agencies, and other mission-driven organizations across the United States to solve complex workforce and organizational challenges.
Emily is an active practitioner who regularly leads compensation studies, salary structure design projects, pay equity analyses, benefits reviews, workforce planning initiatives, and human capital transformation efforts. Over the past several years, she has also become a leading voice on the practical application of artificial intelligence in HR and Total Rewards. She has developed multiple AI-powered software solutions and SaaS products, teaches organizations how to responsibly leverage AI, and has trained more than 14,000 professionals on AI tools, prompting techniques, governance, and workplace applications in the past 18 months.
In addition to her consulting work, Emily serves as an instructor in the Master of Human Resource Management program at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, where she teaches Total Rewards and other HR-related topics. Unlike many AI presenters, Emily actively uses AI in her own consulting, teaching, research, content development, and business operations. Her sessions are known for being education focused and combine practical expertise, real-world examples, and immediately applicable tools that participants can use to improve their work the very next day.
