Erik currently lives near Kansas City with his wife, Savanah and their 4 kids. For the last decade he has worked in HR, most recently at Thermo Fisher Scientific. He joined Thermo Fisher Scientific following his graduation from Utah State Universities dual Master of Human Resources and MBA program in Logan, Utah.
At Thermo Fisher Scientific Erik graduated from their rotational HR – Graduate Leadership Development program where he developed expertise in HR business partnership, project management, workplace investigation and employment law, and compensation. Erik then went on to work as part of the team building out their Executive Compensation function. He then transitioned to his current role supporting one of the most critical US based manufacturing sites to Thermo Fisher Scientifics Microbiology business. There he owns the talent and compensation strategy, HR data analytics, workforce planning, leadership development, business partnership and frontline support.
At work, Erik most enjoys the people analytics intersection of bringing meaningful data to people problems, and the nuance of human experience to data problems. Erik is passionate about the psychology and systems of rewards in the workplace and specializes in the pursuit of making complex things simple.
Erik has earned his CECP and SHRM-SCP certifications and is on this hunt for his next challenge.
