Andy Pezzino is the Vice President of Global Total Rewards, People Analytics & HR Technology at The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), a Fortune 300 global energy company. AES operates in 10 countries, delivering affordable, sustainable energy through a diverse portfolio of distribution businesses and thermal and renewable generation facilities. In his role, Andy leads the strategic design, implementation, and administration of AES’s global compensation and benefits programs, ensuring the company attracts, retains, and motivates top talent worldwide. He oversees a global Rewards team spanning Compensation, Executive Compensation, Benefits, Global Mobility, Immigration, and Equity Administration. Additionally, he leads a combined People Analytics and HR Technology function, driving digital transformation, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making to support HR and business leaders. His scope also includes U.S. payroll operations and HR process optimization, ensuring efficiency and operational excellence.

Andy is a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the Board of Directors, regularly presenting at Compensation Committee meetings. He also serves as Chairman of AES’s U.S. Retirement Committees, overseeing more than $2 billion in assets across defined benefit and defined contribution plans.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut and an MBA with a concentration in International Business from Fairfield University.

A recognized expert in his field, Andy is a frequent speaker on HR topics and serves on the WorldatWork Executive Rewards Advisory Council.
