R. Scott Matarese is the SVP, Total Rewards for Bristol Myers Squibb, where he leads a global team overseeing the design of the company's compensation, benefits and work life programs.
Scott has broad experience in the field of rewards and M&A having served during his career as a consultant, legal advisor and in-house rewards leader. Prior to BMS, Scott worked as a Director in the Metro NY Talent & Rewards practice at Willis Towers Watson, specializing in Executive Compensation advising public and private companies and boards on a wide range of compensation matters, including compensation program design, public company disclosure, governance and M&A and other corporate transactions. Scott previously was the Executive Director of Executive Compensation for Allergan plc, a global pharmaceutical company. Scott started his career as an associate attorney in the executive compensation and benefits practices at Sullivan & Cromwell and Davis Polk.
Scott holds a J.D. from Pace University School of Law and B.S. in Finance from Siena College, resides in Princeton NJ and enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, skiing and live music.
