Chip Stalter is Director of Compensation and Business Services at White Castle Management Co. Chip oversees White Castle’s compensation program ensuring team members are paid equitably at their market value and are recognized for their efforts through incentive and recognition programs. He has led compensation initiatives expanding incentive opportunities as well as developed innovative plans to reward team members.
Along with compensation oversight, Chip is responsible for a customerfocused team providing services to the White Castle Home Office and surrounding Campus. His team provides Café services, Event and Hospitality services, as well as Printing and Shipping services. His leadership role has expanded to include our home office maintenance services, along with supporting our campus tenants and partners. Chip’s tenure with White Castle began as a mailroom clerk, eventually leading to other roles in accounts payable, retail accounting, and the marketing department before moving into the role of Compensation Analyst in 2005. Chip became the of Director of Compensation for White Castle Management Co. in 2020.
Chip attended Muskingum College, where he was active in both the theater program and the radio station, WMCO, pursuing a double-major degree in Communication and Theater. His experience with WMCO has helped as he has been the “on-air” voice volunteer for St. Gabriel Catholic Radio in Columbus for ten years. Chip serves as Treasurer on the board of St. John’s Hermitage, and is active in his church choir, as well as a substitute choir director. Chip is a resident of Westerville, where he enjoys traveling with his wife Susan along with spending time with his granddaughters
